Abijatta Shalla Lakes National Park is located in the Great Rift Valley 200 Km (124 miles) south of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in the Lake Langano recreational areas. There are two lakes in the park the Abijatta and shalla lakes.

Wildlife and Safaris in the National Park

Abijatta Shalla Lakes National Park is home to various birds and mammals and a popular attraction site for bird watchers. Over 300 bird species are found in the Park and such mammals as Oribi warthog, Grant’s gazelle and the Golden Jackal. There is a museum in the park headquarters displaying the bird life in the park.
